Meganisi belongs to the Ionian Islands and is the largest of an insular complex also including the island of Scorpios, where Jacqui Kennedy famously married Aristotle Onassis in 1968, and of course only a short hop across the water from Lefkada.

BY PLANE

AKTION AIRPORT

From Aktion international airport (https://www.pvk-airport.gr/en) you can take a taxi to Paleros (28km, 30 ') and from there by sea taxi you can reach Meganisi in 30'.

Alternatively, you can drive from Aktion to Nidri (36km, 45 ') then board on the daily ferry boat line Nidri - Meganisi (itineraries http://ferryboatmeganisi.gr/) or board on a sea taxi (upon request 15' earlier) .

KEFALONIA AIRPORT

From Kefalonia international airport (https://www.efl-airport.gr/en) you can drive (or take a taxi) to the port of Fiskardo (56km, 1 hour and 20 ') , take the ferry boat Fiskardo - Nidri (itineraries https://westferry.gr/) and then by sea taxi to Meganisi (upon request). Alternatively, you can transfer directly from Fiskardo to Meganisi by sea taxi (upon request 1 day earlier).

ΒY CAR

You can drive from Athens to Lefkas in about 4 hours and from Thessaloniki to Lefkas in 4 hours and a half.

Τhen, take the ferry boat from Nydri (Lefkas), and reach your destination in only 30 minutes. There are daily routes from Nydri to Meganissi (ports Spilia - Vathy). For more information you can visit the website http://ferryboatmeganisi.gr/en/homepage/

There are also daily ferry-boat connections from Ithaca and Kefalonia.

By boat from Italy to Igoumenitsa. From the port of Igoumenitsa, the journey to Nidri takes about 2 hours driving.
